Inspired by beloved Thai iced coffee, this drink is a good way to wind down (or back up) after a luxurious meal. Lightly spiced with a subtle punch from bourbon, this drink is a delight.



 2 fl oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 1 fl oz Bourbon Whiskey
 1 fl oz Spiced Simple Syrup
 ½ fl oz Milk



With Boston or Japanese Shaker Shake all ingredients with ice to combine.


Strain into highball glass with ice.

Spiced Simple Syrup

• 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
• 7 black cardamom pods
• 1 cinnamon stick
• I cup water
• 1 cup demerrara sugar

Combine all ingredients in sauce pan, bring to a boil. Let steep for 5 minutes. Strain syrup into bottle or container. Let cool.

    Am curious how other milk types would change the character of the cocktail. Perhaps in lieu of sugar based simple syrup steeping spices in sweetened condensed milk…
