I love cold americanos. there's a coffee shop on my block that sells sage cookies and I always get them with my coffee. I love this combination, I think the flavors go well together and blend in the mouth. I decided to try to combine them in a cocktail. because what's better then taking two flavors that don't intuitively go well together and combine them into a great cocktail.
The name is a play on the word sage and its double meaning.
Make a one-to-one simple syrup and divide into 2 bottles
Bottle One- Add one part ground coffee to the simple syrup and mix
Bottle Two- Add 1 parts sage leaves and mix
Add the ingredients to a shaker
Shake with ice for about 15 seconds
Strain into a low glass (preferably a coffee glass)
Garnish with a sage leaf
