This cocktail started out as an old fashioned style drink but featuring my favorite base, rum! It evolved into it's current for as an indulgent dessert drink after much (delicious) fiddling. The chocolate bitters play very nice with the Mr. Black adding some more depth and the orange bitters play up some of its fruitier notes. The rum and cognac provide sweetness and warm baking spice and vanilla flavors to tie it all together. The float of heavy cream and grated chocolate is pure decadence.
