Inspired by my love of drinks with a sharp ginger zing, this cocktail blends Mr Black with the smoky oak notes of bourbon, the sweetness of fresh orange and almond, then tops it all off with ginger beer. The fizziness and orange give it a summery brightness, while the coffee and bourbon keep it grounded. I prefer a ginger beer with a bit of a kick, but choose yours to taste!



 1.50 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 1 oz Bourbon Whiskey
 1 oz Orange Juice
 0.50 oz Orgeat
 3 oz Ginger beer



Combine everything except the ginger beer in a tin.


Add ice and shake well.


Strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.


Top with ginger beer and give it a quick stir.


Garnish with an orange wedge or slice, along with a maraschino cherry.
