Inspired by our tireless honey bee to which I pay homage to, whom without, this drink would not exist.
Locally sourced blood oranges and honey, grace Australia’s very own Mr Black Coffee liqueur, finished off with a delicious Rye Whiskey - shaken and poured over ice, garnished with a fresh blood orange wheel and a sprig of rosemary. Combined, this drink boasts a refreshing, bold but light, fruity, caffeinated, full sensory experience.

Into a shaker add 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters, freshly squeezed blood orange juice, the toasted Demerara & Honey Syrup, Michters Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey and Mr Black
Shake with ice for 10-15 Seconds.
Double strain and pour over a large single ice cube in a double Rocks Glass.
Garnish with a blood orange wheel and a sprig of rosemary.
Build a 1:1:1 of Honey, water and toasted demerara sugar.
On low heat, melt demerara sugar in a pan. Once melted, let it ever so slightly toast. (No more than 5 seconds from when the sugar has completed melted.
Trick is not to charcoal it, you only want it browned) once complete add equal parts water and then honey, cook until combined.
