Martini purists will hate the name, but still love the drink! A lovely dessert cocktail in which decadent fall flavors are brought by a roasted pumpkin spice syrup. Just in time for autumn, this riff on an espresso martini will leave you wanting more...

Ingredients
Directions
Brush side of glass with maple syrup and sprinkle on brown sugar
Add all ingredients to your cocktail shaker
Shake with ice for about 15 seconds
Strain into martini glass and enjoy!
Roast your preferred pumpkin (I used butternut squash) in the oven for about an hour.
Scoop out the flesh and blend in a 1:1 ratio with hot water.
Strain out your roasted pumpkin juice using cheese cloth.
Simmer for 30 min. in a pot in a 1:1 ratio with brown sugar and add your preferred pumpkin spice mix (I used 300gr. of brown sugar and roasted pumpkin juice, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 tsp ginger powder, 1 tsp freshly grated nutmeg and 1/2 tsp whole cloves)
Of course it is possible to use store bought pumpkin spice mix or syrup, but I prefer homemade.
