Think a poached pear with a coffee sauce, celebrating the Poire Williams from the Alsatian region of France with Mr. Black. To create the sense of a poached pear desert, the Zaya rum brings the much needed vanilla notes, Mr Black and Massenez Poire Williams bring the structure, the lemon keeps it light, while the nutmeg adds a warming note to complete the set. Much like a poached pear dessert, this stands up as a pleasant nightcap or even a refreshing afternoon delight (temperature dependent).



 1.50 oz Poire Williams (Pear Brandy)(Massenez)
 0.75 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 0.50 oz Aged Rum(Zaya)
 0.50 oz Lemon juice
 0.25 oz Simple syrup (2:1)
 freshly grated nutmeg for garnish



Add Massenez Poire Williams, Zaya Rum, Mr Black, lemon juice, and simple syrup to a shaker


shake over ice


double strain and pour into a chilled coup glass


garnish with a little freshly grated nutmeg
