I wanted to create a stirred cocktail that married the flavors that really speak to me in a cocktail. I love the spice punch from ginger when paired with the sweetness of rum or bourbon. Mr. Black Ethiopian small batch adds to the spice notes I wanted to pull out with the ginger syrup.

This is my tropical speakeasy cocktail for the Mr. Black 2021 competition.

Ingredients

 1.50 oz Small Batch bourbon
 0.50 oz Barbados Rum
 1 oz Mr. Black Ethiopia Single Origin
 0.25 oz Tempus Fugit Creme de Banane
 0.25 oz Ginger syrup

Directions

Add ingredients to mixing glass and stir with lots of ice

Strain over an ice block in cocktail glass

Orange twist for garnish
