I had the crazy idea to pair Mr. Black with dry vermouth in a highball. I thought it might pair well with the Lo-Fi dry vermouth, which is unique with its notes of cherry and anise. I added some grapefruit bitters for an extra bitter-citrus accent, and was pleasantly surprised with the result. Coffee and grapefruit spell breakfast to me, and with the Lo-Fi coming out of the Napa Valley, I had my name. Try it with your brunch or breakfast, wherever you are in the world!
