For this drink I knew I wanted to get weird. I like being weird from time to time, so I looked up alternative uses of coffee and came across cascara, which is a tea brew from the outer skin or husk of the coffee fruit. So I decided to take more of a tea infused cocktail approach and made a lovely warming drink with accents of floral fruitiness.
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and carefully heat until just beginning to bubble
Gently simmer for 5 minutes, being sure not to let it get above a very gentle bubbly simmer. Stirring often.
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes or until comfortably warm to drink.
Strain all the liquids into a vintage tea cup and enjoy a relaxing and warm drink.
