Who doesn’t love an old fashioned and a manhattan. The idea was to make somewhat of a blend of two of my favorite classics. I’m a big fan of amari and wanted to sub sweet vermouth for a wine based amaro in cardamaro. I think I plays great and give a nice bitter herbal complexity.
Ingredients
1.50 oz Bourbon Whiskey
1 oz Cardamaro
0.50 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
0.25 oz Maple syrup
1 dash Black walnut bitters
Directions

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir for about 30-45 seconds

Strain and pour into an old fashioned glass with a big rock of ice

Express oils of an orange peel and drop in glass for garnish
