I wanted to create a cocktail that could invoke tropical coffee vibes but could be infinitely smash-able. I used cream of coconut and lime juice combined with a blend of white demerara rum and an earthy rhum agricole to reinforce and brighten the Mr. Black. With a few dashes of Ango bitters on top and a twist of lemon, my lovely wife came up with the name Mr. MuddPuppy, named after a type of salamander that lives along the banks of the Missouri river, which runs through our home town.

Ingredients

 0.75 oz Rum(El Dorado 3 year)
 0.75 oz Rhum Agricole(Martinique )
 0.75 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur
 0.75 oz Creme of Coconut
 0.50 oz Lime Juice
 3 dashes Angostura bitters
 1 Twist of lemon

Directions

Add all ingredients except the angostura bitters to a shaker with cracked ice and shake for 30 seconds

Open pour into a rocks glass and top with the bitters and a lemon twist

Serve with a straw
