Port wine doesn't receive a lot of love in the cocktail space. It offers tasting notes of caramel, chocolate, dried fruit, and nuts. This is why I chose to pair it with the rich coffee flavours of Mr Black. The Mr. Fizz is an absolute delight! It has a bold chocolatey coffee taste with a more subdued hint of fruits and nut. The rum offers subtle vanilla and an oakiness throughout. Fresh nutmeg and baking spices are present on the nose with every sip. The name speaks for itself. The one and only.

Dry shake (or reverse dry shake, you do you!).
Add ice and shake vigorously for 8-10 seconds.
Double strain into a chilled Collins/Highball glass and let settle in the fridge/freezer for about 90 seconds.
Top with soda and garnish with some freshly grated nutmeg. Enjoy with a straw!
