Taking inspriation from last years winner, a cocktail I had at the Franklin Bar in Philly, and some of my own expirimenting with unorthodox flavor combinations, I introduced Mr Black to Mr Tiki. In this all equal parts recipe, the deeply flavored rums anchor the tropical flavors of pineapple and passionfruit along with the sweet acidity from the liquers and the coffee. Cynar works extremely well infused with coffee, and it brings a subtle earthiness and bitterness to this sweet and strong drink.
Ingredients
¾ oz Muckleyeye Aged Rum
¾ oz Clement VSOP Rhum Agricole
¾ oz Mr Black
¾ oz Coffee-Infused Cynar
¾ oz Pineapple Juice
¾ oz Grapefruit Juice
¾ oz Liber and Co Passionfruit Syrup
4 drops Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters
3 pinches Pineapple Fronds
1 pinch Pink Yard Flower
Directions

Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with crushed ice.

Shake well

Pour into a clear tiki glass.

Top with crushed ice. Garnish with pineapple fronds and a small pink yard flower

Tiki for the win always!! But seriously, this drink makes perfect sense. Tiki drinks traditionally combine many ingredients to create their magic, and this cocktail sounds like magic to me!
