Coffee. Whiskey. Maple Syrup. The pick-me-up needed to start off any day... right? This cocktail is guaranteed to get you up and going to tackle anything the day brings. Coffee and chocolate offset by sweet maple syrup, vanilla and warm baking spices. Enjoy as a breakfast cocktail, evening nightcap, or anytime with this sweet, but balanced cocktail with enough kick to get you on your feet, or lull you to sleep!



 45 ml Mr Black
 30 ml Bourbon
 30 ml Dark Roast Coffee or Espresso
 15 ml Maple syrup
 2 dashes Chocolate bitters



To your shaker, add 1.5oz(45ml) Mr. Black, 1oz(30ml) bourbon of choice, 1oz(30ml) Coffee or Espresso, 1/2 oz(15ml) maple syrup, and 2-4 dashes of chocolate bitters.


Shake until well blended and chilled. Strain into coupe or Nick and Nora glass.


Garnish with shaved dark chocolate and a twist of orange. Express orange peel over before serving.
To shave chocolate, use a vegetable peeler and scrape on the long edge of a chocolate bar.
