This cocktail lends inspiration from the Negroni and Penicillin. The Whisky and Coffee Amaro paints a dark picture to begin with, then the orange themed Aperol helps brighten things up on the after taste. Regan's bitters to round off and keeps things in the same citrus theme.

The Penicillin theme that is base spirit of blended scotch whisky and smokey Islay adds interest while keeping in good harmony.

30 ml Blended Scotch Whisky (Monkey Shoulder)
30 ml Mr Black Coffee Amaro
 30 ml Aperol
 3 dashes Orange Bitters (Regans)
 1 tsp Islay Whisky

In a mixing glass add the Blended Scotch Whisky, Mr Black Coffee Amaro & Aperol

Add three dashes of Orange Bitters

Add Ice and stir 10-15 seconds

Prepare a chilled rocks glass with ice (preferably a single large cube)

Strain from mixing glass into the chilled rocks glass

Float on surface a bar spoon (approx. 5ml) of an Islay Scotch Whisky

Garnish with an orange wheel
