I made this cocktail for the last special that I would create at the bar I moved on from. It was where I truly fell in love with the craft of cocktails. It’s also where I put my two loves together, coffee and booze. It is creamy, it has a earthy undertone and is of course incredibly smooth and stout because of the Mr, black coffee liquor that’s in it.



 2 oz Gin(Death's Door)
 0.75 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 0.50 oz Ginger Liqueur(Domaine de canton)
 10 drops Dark creme de cocoa
 5 drops Mole bitters
 2 pinches Fresh ground nutmeg



First I take a shaker tin and add all of the ingredients that I have listed above except the nutmeg. I add all the ingredients the Gin, mr blacks, domaine de canton, dark creme de cocoa, mole bitters and shake for 20 seconds.


Strain into coupe. It should have a nice frothy top and as it settles you should see a few layers.


For garnish grate fresh nutmeg over the top of the cocktail.
