This drink and its ingredients bring my mind to a cold winter night sitting outside by a fire surrounded by family, on a wind whipped island in the Atlantic. This scene inspired a balanced cocktail with smoky notes from the scotch, rich coffee notes from Mr. Black, a slight herbal sweetness from Yellow Chartreuse, a touch of citrus, and the hint of rich walnut. It is reminiscent of simpler times, where all of your worries get swept away by the cold wind that batters your face.

 2 oz Scotch Whisky(Isle of Jura 10 yr )
¾ oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 ½ oz Yellow Chartreuse
 ¼ oz Lemon Juice
2 dashes Black Walnut Bitters(Fee Brothers)

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake for 12-15 seconds

Double strain into a stemmed cocktail glass

Garnish with a lemon peel
