A riff on the traditional Espresso Martini, with a twist of Orange brightness. Inspired out of the desire for a savory and satisfying breakfast at the end of a long productive day. Pleasantly mellow orange notes, aromatic awakening coffee, and the sweetened silky texture present a lush original coffee cocktail.

Ingredients

 1 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 1 oz Espresso
 1 oz Vodka
 ½ oz Orgeat
 ½ oz Egg White
 2 dashes Orange Bitters(Fee Brothers)

Directions

Combine all the ingredients into your cocktail shaker.

Dry shake to combine for 10 seconds.

Hard shake with large cubes of ice for 30 seconds.

Double strain into a chilled stemmed cocktail glass.

Garnish with orange peel on the edge of the cocktail glass, a drop of orange bitters, coffee bean shaved atop foam, and 2 coffee beans.

Orgeat

Toast 2 cups of sliced raw almonds at 400°F four 4 minutes. Let almonds cool before blending. Cook 1 1/4 cups water and 1 1/2 cups sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to boil, about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add almonds and simmer on low heat, stirring frequently. Just before bringing to a boil, remove from heat and cover. Let it sit for 3 hours. Strain steeped mixture through nut milk bag into a bowl. Stir in 1 teaspoon orange flower water and 1 oz vodka. Funnel into glass jar or bottle.

      I played around with a few new ingredients I learned about while making cocktails at home! Orgeat and bitters are a necessity!
