This cocktail started as my attempt at a variation of the Corpse Reviver #2. I thought incorporating a bit of coffee would be the perfect way to create a true reviver cocktail. As the flavors came together, I realized what I had created was a coffee-based blend of a Corpse Reviver #2 and an Improved Whiskey Cocktail! It's delicious. The coffee and absinthe are a beautiful combination of flavors, and the dance of citrus, spice, and herbal notes add a wonderful depth. Cheers!
Ingredients
30 ml Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
30 ml 100 proof Rye (Rittenhouse or Knob Creek)
30 ml Grand Marnier
30 ml Lemon Juice
15 ml Maraschino Liqueur
7.50 ml Absinthe
Directions

Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin over ice.

Shake to chill (10 - 15 seconds).

Strain into chilled glass.

Express lemon peel over the top and garnish as desired.
