Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Coffee Liqueur is a rare combination that appealed to me. The result is "Hendersons Black" - short, boozy, balanced. The milk foam gives the drink an interesting twist and rounds up the edges. You can also play with the amount of the foam to control the drink as you wish. The name is a tribute to the founder of the Caol Ila distillery, Hector Henderson and Mr. Black.



 1 oz Mr Black Coffee Liquer
 1 oz Single Malt Whisky (Caol Ila 12 Yr)
 ¼ oz Grand Marnier
 ¼ oz Amaro Averna
 1 ½ oz Milk
 1 pinch Cacao Powder



Heat up the milk and pour Averna Amaro into the hot but not boiling milk. Use a milk frother to get some nice Averna infused foam


Combine Coffee Liquer, Whisky and Grand Marnier in a mixing glass


Stir with ice and strain into a pre chilled small coupe


Float milk foam with a barspoon on top of the drink (you won´t need the whole amount!)


Top with cocoa powder
