Summer is upon us in lovely Sydney, meaning hot drinks are out and frozen drinks are in! Lockdown is done, the parks are open, so what better way to enjoy your favourite coffee liqueur than in your favourite frozen treat? Childhood summers to me were always accompanied by a Frozen Coke from 7/11, whenever Mum gave me the OK it was straight into the corner shop for a bit of frozen goodness. Well, mums not here, so there's nothing to stop me chucking some booze in for an added adult treat!

Ingredients

30 ml Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 30 ml Bourbon Whiskey(Buffalo Trace)
 5 dashes Orange Bitters
 10 ml Vanilla Syrup
120 g Frozen Coke Ice Cubes
 30 g Ice

Directions

1

At least 8 hours prior to assembly, fill up an ice cube tray with Coca Cola and chuck it in the freezer. (One 375ml can should be enough for 2 serves)

2

Make your Vanilla Syrup! Grab 500g of Caster Sugar, 500mL of water and bring it to the boil. Add 50mL of Vanilla Extract to the mix, pour it in a bottle and chuck that into the fridge until you're ready to use it.

3

Grab your blender and a kitchen scale (if you want to be precise), and weigh out roughly 120g of your delicious Coke Ice Cubes, along with 30g of regular ice. If you're in a rush, half the cubes from your can should do the trick, and about a quarter of that in regular ice.

4

To your iced up blender add the following ingredients:

30mL Mr Black
30mL Buffalo Trace (or similar bourbon)
10mL Vanilla Syrup
5 Dashes Orange Bitters

5

Blitz that thing up! 5-6 short bursts should do the trick, but just keep going until you've reached that delicious slushy texture.

6

Pour your mix into your desired glass of choice, add in a straw and enjoy!
