I wanted to make the quintessential after dinner drink. Espresso and coffee liquor for the caffeine buzz, the bitter and Fernet to aid digestion, and the cream liquor to give it a silky mouthfeel.
Pull a shot of espresso into the smaller tin of your shaker and let it chill as you build the rest of the cocktail.
In the larger shaker add the remaining alcoholic ingredients.
When espresso has cooled, combine ingredients and dry shake for 10 seconds to incorporate the ingredients and aerate the cocktail to build up a nice head.
Pour into an snifter and add crushed ice. Garnish with a twist of lemon and a mint sprig.
