This is a sour that makes use of less-utilized ingredients in the cocktail world. I wanted to take the sweeter coffee notes of Mr. Black and reel them back a bit with bitters and lightly peated scotch. On paper it seems rash and uninviting, but with the addition of an egg white, the savory notes of the scotch are subdued and the flavors blend together into a wonderful symphony. Springbank 10 is my favorite whisky, Mr. Black is my favorite liqueur, and Bogart's Bitters need some more love!
