My intention was to use the brightness of a sour template to bring out the bold coffee flavors of Mr. Black while complimenting it with warming flavors such as almond and honey. A bourbon with at least 100 proof stands up to the lemon, which allows Mr. Black to shine as the star of this cocktail. And yes, I am but a lowly barback who is a fan of Steve's channel.
Ingredients
1.50 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
0.75 oz Bourbon (Wild Turkey 101)
0.25 oz Amaretto (Disaronno)
1 oz Lemon Juice
0.50 oz Fresh Espresso
0.25 oz 2:1 Honey Syrup
2 dashes Orange Bitters (Fee Brothers)
Directions

Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker.

Fill your shaker with ice and shake for 15 seconds.

Double strain into your favorite coupe.

Express the oils of a lemon zest over the cocktail and discard the zest.
