I have been going through a bourbon phase lately, usually an old fashioned of an evening and thought the sweetness of the bourbon pairs beautifully with the bitterness of the coffee without detracting from either. I started with a simple bourbon and Mr Black shaken drink with simple syrup and thought the flavour a little flat so with some tinkering I ended up with the bourbon black.
Add ingredients to shaker
Add Ice to your tin and hard shake
Fine strain into a chilled coupe glass
