Inspired by Kurdish pistachio coffee, and the discovery of how well pistachio and kirsch pair together, I wanted to play with these flavors together and found that they all balance each other beautifully. Reminiscent of a delightful pistachio affogato, with bright and intriguing complexity that compliments the rich components of Mr Black Coffee Liqueur.

Ingredients

 1.50 oz Cognac(Pierre Ferrand 1840)
 1 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 0.25 oz Kirsch(Luxardo)
 0.25 oz Pistachio syrup(Monin)
 1 drop Cardamom bitters(Scrappy’s)
 1 Expressed lemon

Directions

Build cognac, Mr Black, kirsch, pistachio syrup and cardamom bitters in shaker tin

Add ice and shake

Express lemon in small couple glass

Double strain into glass

Garnish with lemon twist and flower
