A refreshing yet rich orange and coffee cocktail that looks to use simple ingredients anyone can access. The dark flavors of Mr. Black, bourbon, and crème de cacao are balanced by the bright flavors of orange juice, Campari, and orange bitters. Benedictine, Angostura, and some saline solution act to reinforce and complexify the notes of citrus and coffee. Finally a flaming orange twist tops off this truly devious drink. Is black truly the new orange? Only you can say.



 1 oz Bourbon Whiskey(Four Roses)
 1 oz Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 0.25 oz Campari
 0.25 oz Crème de Cacao (Dark)
 2 dashes Benedictine
 1 oz Orange Juice
 1 dash Angostura Bitters
 1 dash Orange Bitters
 2 drops Saline Solution (20%)



Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin, add ice, and shake.


Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.


Flame an orange peel over the glass.


Char the edges of the peel, twist, and place in the glass.
