I remember discovering Mr Black when they first started to hit the shelves, they were a lot less known, and I was instantly in love. All of sudden a couple years later everyone seemed to be using Mr Black, which certainly isn't a bad thing. This inspired my name which in turn inspired me to loosely design my cocktail around the Naked and Famous template (very loosely).
Coffee forward and nicely balanced.



 30 ml Mr Black Coffee Liqueur
 30 ml Reposado Tequila(Espolon)
 30 ml Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
 7.50 ml Grapefruit Oleo Saccharum
 Cinnamon air (for which you'll need cinnamon infused water and soy lecithin)



1. Add ingredients to a shaker tin
2. Add 1 whole ice cube and one crushed ice cube
3. Shake for 8 - 10 seconds
4. Double strain into an 8 ounce rocks glass (or whatever rocks glass you have) over a cub of ice.
5. Top with generous amount of cinnamon air, and optionally a small pinch of freshly grated cinnamon.

Cinnamon Air

Combine 3 cinnamon sticks and 3/4 cup of water in a pot and let steep over a high heat for somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes, or until the water is richly infused and fragrant.
Remove the cinnamon sticks through a strainer and add cinnamon water to a new bowl.
Add 2 teaspoons of soy lecithin to your cinnamon water and blend with an immersion blender until a light foamy "air" begins to form, this can be scooped off with a julep strainer or just a regular spoon.

Grapefruit Oleo Saccharum

Combine the peels of 3 grapefruits with a 1/2 cup of caster sugar in a zip lock bag and let sit at room temperature overnight.
If the sugar is not fully dissolved you can add your mixture to a pot with a small amount of water and heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
