The woody spice notes imparted into the tequila from the barrel-aging process combine with the bittersweet coffee of Mr Black Coffee Liqueur.
For balance, the bitterness of Campari was essential. Infusing it with blackberry for a touch of tartness. The subtle berry blends amazingly with the soft smoke of the mezcal for a cocktail that offers balanced bitterness, along with complexity without any particular component becoming overpowering.
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass.
Fill with ice.
Stir for 30 seconds.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a skewered blackberry.
To infuse the Campari, add 100g of blackberries to 700ml of Campari.
Let it sit for 2 hours.
Strain out the blackberries.
